Convector Boxes
Gas convector boxes can be glass fronted, or open, depending on whether you are looking for a decorative feature or an efficient means of heating your home. Open fronted convector boxes are between 50 – 60 efficient, with glass fronted appliances at 70 – 80 % efficient.
We supply a selection of convector boxes from different manufacturers, in order to provide maximum choice of trim and surround options.
Hearth Requirements
Glass fronted models, providing they are more than 50 mm off the floor, do not require any additional hearth in front of them - any open model will require a non combustable hearth of 300 mm depth regardless of how high they are lifted off the floor.
